first service price

hello all

im new to this site so please be gentle.

my girlfriends clio is due for its first service as its coming up to 18k. its a 52 plate 1.2 extreme and ive been quoted £150-£160.

is this about right, as it seem like alot of money for was is basically an oil and filter change and a general look around the car

any info would be much appreciated

That sounds about right - bloody expensive, but pretty typical of what others pay at Renault dealerships.

Ring round my 18K service cost £99.50. Although I got a 10% dscount apparently.

It is a ripoff for what they do but wait for the 36k one all they do then is sparkplugs and airfilter and charge £200+

Garages make 75% profit from service work that why its so costly it take 1.5hrs apparently to do the service according the the paperwork I got with it but Im sure they do it in less than that.

Although it took them all day to do mine.
