Fitted a stereo - heard a pop, now Clock doesnt illuminate and CC does but no digits

  330 Ci
Can anyone one help?

I'm guessing its a fuse somewhere but not sure which and i don't have a multimeter.

Basically fitted a stereo, then heard a small pop noise.

Turned the key in the ignition to see if it works and now have 3 problems:

1. The Climate Control display illumninates but with no info on it
2. The Clock isn't illuminating at all
3. When i lock the car it now beeeeeeeeeeeps (as if a door were open but its not)
4. The stereo won't power up (which is probably related to the other two)

Any Suggestions?

Probably a fuse, check your fuse diagram in the manual so you can locate the right one.

Sounds like a fuse, or you've knocked something out of place fitting the headunit.

The headunit wasn't fitted into the dash (its sat on the seat) so won't be that.

Unfortunately i don't have a manual for the car...

ok so to add to my original post the Climate Control screen illumiates but shows nothing and non of the buttons illumiate when pressed.

am thinking i've knocked out some kind of aux fuse for the centre console... any ideas where the fuse for this might be?

I've swapped a few fuses out of the side of the door with no luck, going to try the fusebox in the engine bay next... if someone could scan me the page from the manual with fuse diagrams on for both engine and door that would be a massive help.

most likely the bulbs. Dash top off to get to them

Possibly, but that doesnt explain the constant beep when i lock the doors though..

and that the screen is still illuminated on the CC but the buttons don't

ok, slight progression - when i start the engine, the dash shows a door as being open (explains why when i try to lock the car it beeps)... however all the doors/boot/bonnet are shut.

Is there a relay or fuse for this? (i can live with/sort the rest in my own time)

..is looking like i've blown my centre console fuse (somehow) whereever that may be..

Does anyone have a fusebox diagram for the engine bay?

My Interior lights are also dead - its as if everything down the middle of the car has been blown - any ideas where the fuse for this circuit might be?

Its as if everything that relies on getting a live off the ignition has blown (wipers, windows and exterior lights all work fine)

Interior and Luggage Compartment lights/radio 20w fuse had blown.

weirdly i don't have that symbol on my fusebox diagram :S

Anyway, all fixed - Thanks for the diagrams and help

Probably by using common sense and just looking for a blown fuse in the fusebox

Easiest way, just take every fuse out and in if you don't know which one.
