Fitting a Cat back exhuast system

Can anyone tell me how hard/easy it is to fit an exhaust system to a cup??? My new GDI stealth system is due next week and i fancy putting it on myself .... also what tools will i need??

Should be relatively straight forward. I fitted mine to my 182 in an hour or so. Most of that was getting the old one off though! :evil: As yours is the 172 it shouldn't be so difficult.
1 clamp to remove where it meets the CAT (13mm spanner iirc) then it should just unhook from the 2 mounts and drop away.

I did mine on ramps btw, I wouldn't recommend doing it on a jack purely for the clearance needed :)

just looking on the GDI website it looks like the exhaust is in two pieces, mid section and backbox - how does teh backbox connect to the rest of the system?? I'm a bit of a car diy beginner!! lol

Sometimes when you start out on a job on the motor, snags arise that piss you off and take ages to surmount. It could be you just dont have the right spanner, rusty nut,ect
