Fitting a CD Changer

  Suzuki SV1000S
Anyone know if there is anywhere I can buy a changer fitting kit. When I sold my car I removed the changer but stupidly (DOH) left the little brackets in there to fit it to the car.

Should be able to get spares throught he manufacturer. If its aftermarket then might be an idea (dare I say it) to pop to Halfrauds as they can look up a fair few companies for parts like that
My bf did this when i crashed and couldnt removed my Pioneer h/u cradles

If all else fails, there also caraudiodirect - they can get lots of things throught their goodwill with 90% of the makes out there

Thats not a safe way of installing any audio equipment in a car

In an accident heavy objects such as these can do a lot of damage if not tied down
Especialy if they are in the boot and get propelled into someone in the rear seats

Hope your not talking from experience!!!!!

No, but I know a lot of people, from audio distributers to competitors - and a lot of them learnt from the velcro quick fix!

Ouch - Well ideally want to put it somewhere unobvious and valver will soon be stripped out - So I suppose under the seats (bucket)

Suppose some big/Strong zip ties may work - Will have to get buckets fitted and see what I have to play with room wise.

mines under the seat and the velcro is very strong stuff so i cant see it moveing. It aint exactly heavy either.

Thats what 90% of the people I know said who have had crashes and seen their kit go flying and break/hit someone. Velcro - of whatever strength - IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Think of the amount of force the car undrgoes during a collision. Strong bits of fabric which intertwine together will not hold anything heavier than 2kg or less. I cant remember the exact figures, but was once told (by someone on tv!) that during a collision at just 40mph, human beings can weigh several tonnes
