Fitting a Dials Cluster

Car  RS 172
Hey all, just got hold of a set of 172 dials, as in a previous thread I mentioned it currently has incorrect standard dials on it.

I have found the dials, as well as a company who will clock it to the right mileage for me.

Question really is; how simple are they to fit? I assume the back of them just involved plugging everything in, but do I have to rip my car to bits to get them in place, or is it a simple affair?

Looking at the fixings on the photos, it looks to me like the top of the dash may have to come out?

Thanks guys.

Basically yeah, steering wheel may have to come off too I've heard as it can get in the way.

Very simple to do mate, 13 screws to get the dash off irc. Take a look at Fubar's guide if you havn't already seen it. Then 2 screws that hold the dials in. Unclip the 2 connectors at the back, clip them into new dials, job done!
