Fitting a magnex decat!! HELP

Just got a magnex decat for my williams delivered and looks unlike other decats i have seen [the fittings on each end]

The ones I have seen BB Tuning etc have the flat flange type at both ends (see the rear of the above piccy) but this one has the cone-style flange at one end (see above)...and it has a floating olive and mounting plate at the other end.....help!!!

The instructions says:"remove, cut and fit the 2" loose olive and seal with rtv silicone. use 50mm long bolts to secure flange, fit rear of pipe to magnex or standard system using new gasket"

.....surely they are not asking me to hack apart the system ("remove, cut and fit.."

Any tips? I have a full magnex system.....and reno front manifold/downpipe I thought both had the flat flange type fittings...so where does the cone bit go?

HELP!!! anyone fitted one?

The cone sits next to your downpipe with the olive ring wedged in the middle, no cutting needed only to remove olds bolts if rusted.

so what makes the seal? surely that way only the outside rim of the outer cone is touching the flange on the downpipe?...that a good seal?
 


Mate pay someone to do like i did! I got my car up on the ramps and relised the bolts holding the cat to the downpipe had welded under the heat and the guys at the garage had to use oxyacetaline (SP?) to cut them!

They the fitted my decat and full magnex system for £20 only took the 30mins too!

Pukka job no rattles, just roars and more power released!

the olive bit goes on the downpipe jus sits over the lip, it probably makes a better seal than the flange and gasket thats on normally

wen i bought mine off mat it had the silenced magnex i found it much better with a straight thru pipe tho freed it up a lot on the top end
