Surprise surprise Im having major probelms getting the local garage to pass the cup due to the usual rear brake problem, they are not even reading any thing even with two blokes in the boot for added weight.
I've shown them the VOSA newsletter and they've spoke to VOSA about the brakes but still wont pass the car. They have come up with a plan to fit a normal 172 brake bias set up at a cost of £200+!! Which I dont like the idea of as it takes away from the 'cupness' of the car.
I have been doing some searching and see a few peaople have fitted manual bias valves. This is some thing Im tempted to do, but at present am away from the car so need a bit of advice as to which one to buy and whether any one has any suggestons on fitting.
From what I gather there are 2 brake pipes going into the OME compensator and 1 line coming out. I've found a few willwood manual bias valves but they all seem to have one in one out set up.
Could I either join the lines before the bias valve (some thing which i dont think will work) or look harder to find a 2 to 1 bias valve? Also Im going to have to cut the lines and flare the ends of the pipe to connect to the manual bias valve, and possible re direct some of the pipe work, has any one any advice on this, or know of a guide?
Many thanks
Alan
