Fitting a tachometer

im thinking of getting a tachometer for my dash (as my model doesnt come with one) and I was just wondering if its hard to wire one up as im not the sort of person who does electrical stuff :\

Find some RT dials with the rev counter and fit those !! the rev counter will work and theres no extra wiring to be done

Ill give it a try but done the same sort of thing for my old r5 but it didnt work properly and half the lights didnt work on the guage. If anyone has done this pls let me know

OK, if you take your dials off, there will be a plug loomed up wiht treh wriing wiht two wires going to it, if you want a stand alone tacho, splice into those wires and run them off to a tacho.

I fitted RT dials and everything works fine, connections are all identical cept for the rev cou ter which just plugs in, plus you will get a temp gauge

Try searching teh DFor Sale for anyone breaking an RT, valver, or Willaims, thats how i got mine, mine came from a 1.8 RT btw

Not if you have a Mk1 Phase3, it dont.

Mk1 Phase3, you either have to find a 1.2 RN from a Mk1 Phase3 Dial Set (I think this works)..

Or have some older dials (from an RT or something) converted to work with the eDIS module.. which cost me about £75!

Mine cos me a tenner from a scrappy. Altho i ended up selling them cos i have a ph3.

Ph1/2, put it in and it will work straight away, although ur speedo will be slightly out.

Got Valver Dials Fitted in mine works a treat, although i wouldnt mind sombody telling me which wires they are so i can connect a secondary Rev counter

Zmaster, they are two wires on their own going to an individual wiring plug, its teh only wioring plug wiht just 2 wires goign to it, any probs just ask me on msn and ill explain better
