Well it's lowered by 30mm which was an improvement but as you say need to be lower with spacers. Got delta mic spacers in the end as another member on here used em.

Did you use the nuts that delta mic supplied with the spacers?
if you did I would suggest replacing them with better ones

looks good though plans sound good to :)

poor quality soft threads that work loose, doesnt help that the spacer is made of steel so is pretty heavy. try to get hold of some stainless steel ones. they should be m12x1.5!!

Can someone explain to me and I'm not meaning in specific reference to this car, but in general.... What's the point in spacers? Apart from looking like the suspension is broken what benefits are there? Just greater camber and better cornering ability or a wider track for those on track. That's the only thing I can see.

the problem with non sports especially is that the arches are pretty wide and the oe wheels are only 6.5" wide also tend to have a high offset of around 43 so the wheel ends up being tucked inside the arches with a massive gap and looks w@nk.
people fit the spacers of say 25mm per corner brings the total track of the axle out to 50mm giving better cornering stability or for the people that just want them for the looks then it makes the wheels et much less filling the arch gap up nicley and tend to go for cheap steel ones wich isnt the best idea as it increases unssprung weight which upsets balance and causes wheel wobble sometimes. the expensive spacers from the liks of h&r or fk will be made of aluminium which are light as fcuk....
rs models have wider wheels and a wider track as standard and cups/trophys have wider track still so often dont need spacers unless you go mega low and need to move the wheels out a few mm for suspension clearances......
if your out on mon at warrington ill show you mine with no spacers on and youll see what i mean....

Inside arch clearance is one reason I can think of, some wheels may rub on full lock
