fitting cruise control to 172?

  182 inside
is it possible to fit cruise control to a 172FF if it didn't come with it from factory?

would i just need the buttons and wiring or does the ecu have to be reprogrammed?

just a question;)

I'm sure edde will know.

The 172's have the speed limiter over-ride switch already fitted on the floor behind the throttle pedal, so maybe?!?

Its an awesome feature, but I can't say I see the complication with it edde?
The diagrams i've got just show the cruise control/speed limiter switches going to the ecu? Or does the UCH factor into it as do the dials?

Just wondering because you say its too complicated with a lot of things people ask but i'm just wondering on the specifics of them? Not meaning to come across arsey but I wonder on a lot of things, like to know how things work.

I know what you mean yep your right you've got the diagrams there the isseus is the looms arn't there so you'd need to wire in all the looms and switches get the ECU swoped and then get a connector so you can connect the extra wires to it then chnage the stearing wheel.

Buyond thats its no issue its just its not liek a VAG where you stick the indicator switches on and plug vag.com in and adjust a few settings.

Its doable though but much in the same way adding air con to a car is doable. it can just isn't done.

Thinking about it there are some aftermarket cruise control systems which could work but again its a lot of effort.

Trust the french to make it so hard to fit CC afterwards :(

Compared to Vag cars as said above where everything can be controlled/ settings adjusted from the diagnostic port via VagCom Software
