Now I feel like a right r****d! I've fitted coilovers, new brakes and numerous other bits and bobs on my cars, but never changed the front wipers, and I'm stumped!

Might be a combination of cold and tiredness, but couldnt get them off without thnking I was going to bend the wiper arm, how do they come off?!

Its hard to explain mate. Its well annoying for some people, but then other people can do it in seconds (like me) :)
Think it through first. Otherwise you get confused half way through doing it.

Take off the caps and nuts and then push down on the wiper at the point where it hinges. Once it's flat it lies more squarely on the bolt and should pop off more easily. They are a pain though. :)

Think I may have mis-read this, are you only wanting to change the blade, not the whole arm? If so I haven't a scooby lol

wiper blades are THE worst jobs we get in!!!

they are an absolute doddle if you buy decent ones with clips that actually fit....

but the ones my boss insists on buying (box of 999,999,9000 for a pound) you can spend hours searching for clips and god knows what else

would rather do head gaskets all day long

At the top where the loop is there is a small hole and the plastic clips into that (IIRC). If it wont budge stick a small screwdriver in the hole to push the clip in.

There's some sort of clip holding it somewhere anyway.

on the clip itself, you're probably already holding down the obvious little clip on the botton, bu theres also 2 small ledges that clip over the top (at the top of the plastic bit)
thats the bit that took me aages.

just read that through and i have maade it as clear as mud.
