Fitting OE mirrors Mk2 ph2

Has anyone had to fit a whole new mirror, base plates and all to a mk2 ph2? Mine got booted off when parked up over night a couple of weeks back. Just bought one off ebay but haven't a clue how to fit it, or where to even start!

someone help me please, I've had to fork out already because some p**ck got p*ssed up and decided to have a go at my car, I don't wanna spend more money on paying for someone to fit it if I can help it!

it is manual or electric??

easy peasy, takes five mins. Take cover off back inside door, and unscrew, if electric unplug the loom.

thanx again, does the cover inside the car come off easily? does it slide off or just pull off?
