Fitting of ICE

Im thinking its time to upgrade my HU and speakers after having my car for a month! But I dont know what to get.... I have a budget of around £600-700. Can anyone help?????????????

Also, im thinking of subs and amps, but i dunno how difficult it is to fit these into a clio dynamique, as i have never dun this before.

Any help would be great

In my opinion i would go for-

Spend say £100 - £150 of the front comps - Mbs, Infinity, do some searches on comps

Get a 4 channel amp - eg the Mac attack 4075 - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/shop/acatalog/CAD_Mac_Attack_587.htmlhttp://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/shop/acatalog/CAD_Mac_Attack_587.html (gives out more than what is stated, one of very few amp that does this

Then spend the rest say £150 on a sub and enclosure eg the JL on specail offers at Caraudiodirect as well,

In my opinion, you would get a very good system for that

Also - evil ice may be able to give you some offers

id say get a good head unit 250-300...alpine or pioneer

get those audiobahn comps from evil ice, 100 quid.

70 quid on some rear coaxiles

then get the rockford 500x of evil ice, under 200 quid

then a nice sub

the most imprtant thing id how they sound to you, if you can listen to as many speakers HU subs ect, then pic what you want and search for it cheaper on the interent

My recommendations would be as follows.

Alpine 7893R - £250

MB Quart DSD216 6.5" Components for front - £79

MB Quart DKD110 4" Coaxials for rear - £45

Rockford Fosgate 500x amp to run all speakers - £175

You might have to go over the budget to get a decent amp and sub to compliment the rest of the system. You could go for cheaper items but if the rest of the system sounds mint then theres not much point.

Cliojohn - Just to let you know, you had a special price on those Audiobahn 6.5" comps. They will be £125 for other members..just in case anyone else asks...not bad for a pair of £200 speakers though really.

As far as i know we can still get them but the stocks are running down quick. The last one that we sold was about 2 weeks ago.

think cliojohn got the abc525q 5.5" components, didnt he?, i think thats right cos i wouldnt mind a set when i get the money. are the 6.5" the carbon ones?

oops..sorry yes you are correct maff. They were the 5.25" version. They are supposed to be £109 instead of £100. Audiobahn make 2 versions of the 6.5" components. One is the larger model of the ones Cliojohn had with the aluminium cone. The carbon ones are the next model up which are the ABC6002Q model and a fair bit more pricey but sound superb.
