Fitting Samco Coolant hoses & Bleeding the coolant system

  182, SQ7, Trafic
Right few things. Have the ProAlloy rad I'm fairly sure it doesn't have any bleeding facilty on it. I've been told that filling the coolant reservoir then squeezing the pipe and repeating that until the squeezing pushed the water higher is the best way?

Also, how much coolant/water do I need? Whats the best stuff to use?

Cheers

O RLY?

I think on my valver it was on my rad and just assumed the same :)

Cheers Fred!

M

mini-valver

Its a 10mm at the top, facing right as you look down at it. Bang some water wetter in their while you're at it, being charged.

you will just about get 5L back in the system...

Drain with thermostat bleed screw open

Flush with hose pipe

Fill with Renault Type D coolant

get it up to temp

thermostat will then open and coolant level should go down in the reservoir

Top up

Repeat

And repeat

Something along those lines anyway ;)

Just check it for a few days after as the level may drop slightly
