fitting springs to 03 clio is it DIY

  Clio 1.6 16v 2003

can i do this job myself? how many of you have replace them yourself?

if anyones got any good advice either pm me of stick it down here

cheers

yes, easy job

an hour or so.

rears just fall out when you jack it up and undo the shocks.

FRonts you need to take the strut out, use a spring compressor, replace the springs, do it all back up.

spring compressor eh, funny enough i aint got one in my garage.

i always said that when i got my new clio id never touch it myself and always let the pros do it. but f**k it

is the haynes 98-01 a suitable guide, same suspension system i presume?

thanks for advice

clio 2 phase 1 and 2 have the same suspension design so that haynes manual will be ok to follow.spring clamps/compressors are really cheap to buy.

just be carfull mate, watch what is going on with the clamps.... they can slip off the springs and cause some damage...

other than that its fairly easy...
