fk coilovers

Just brought a 02 172 clio and looking at some coil overs. A mate of mine has recomended fk coilover iv looked on ebay and can get them new for £450 whats not to bad. But what are they like anyone used them?

I had them on my old Clio and I thought they were really good, what FKs are they though? Highsport, konigsport etc?

I have those. They do a Silverline X too, which use Koni shocks on the rear.

Nah, Highsports and Silverlines are fine.

We had excessive failure rates of the highsports. Too much hassle to be worth selling thats for sure.

Excessive failure caused by what? Ride height too low?

I have highsports in my non sport for about 50k miles and they are still spot on. No, roads are not better over here. Also know a few people who never had any problems with highsports.

The problem seemed to be the seals on most kits returned.
We have far less returns from every other suspension manufacturer we deal with so make of it what you will. We cannot set the ride height for each customer to give margins for error. Glad you have had a happy experience. Maybe 85% do, but when some manufacturers are running a 0.1% failure rate you have to ask 'is the product good enough?'
What I know is that I lost too much money, I wasted too much time, and probably lost potentially good customers due to poor products.

Are these the ones with the anti-corrosion coating Kev? Seem a good bit of kit.

I would have thought most basic coilover kits are zinc plated. More expensive brands use more fancy coatings like nickel and other materials. KW have stainless steel bodies for some of their range

I had Silverline X FK's on my 1.2 they were epically good. Would even go as far as saying they are just as good, if not better than the SACH on my trophy.

I have the FK Konigsport coilovers with Koni dampers on my white Clio 172, i think they're a decent kit for the money. Adjustable ride height, damping and negative camber
