Flaking Laquer

Hi All,

Need a bit of help. Just washed my car today and noticed a patch about the size of an inch square on the drivers door pillar (Bottom right corner of the windscreen as sat from inside). The clear laquer has flaked off leaving a patch of unprotected paint and an outline where the laquer starts.

Whats the best way to sort this as all I can think of is take it to the body shop to get it re laquered and blended in?

why not try taking it back to renault as you could have a go at arguing your paintwork warranty. think its 5/6 years? if the rest of the car is mint, then you've got a good chance.

otherwise, as you say - go a local bodyshop

3yrs warranty for paint..... Xyrs for perforation (cant remember how many. lol)
