Flashing on the clocks

what does it mean when the temp on your clocks are flashing in a valver, i will start the car and it will say 50degrees then about 3mins later it will start to flash, whats going on?

Wiring or sensor problem mosty likly I think the light works off another sensor than the indicator.

what has it got to do with the indicator, the '50' that is shown digitally on the clocks flashes
