Fly by wire fault - mimic slipping clutch?

The other weekend, I thought the clutch on Soph's 182 was starting to slip. If you floored it from low revs, they would shoot up about 1000rpm until road speed seemed to catch up, in all gears but 5th.

However, since then it seems to have stopped as we can't replicate it. Now, I'd expect a dying clutch to get worse, not get better!

It's got me wondering whether it's anything to do with the electric throttle? Anybody else had this?

Clutches can slip when hot but get better. I've had it a few times. But no if the clutch is engaged the throttle won't be able to make the revs rise without the road speed.
