I was thinking of this also, my pal works for engineering & machining firm so it would only cost me my time fitting

How much would you realistically be able to remove?

Ours was done by a good engineering company, one that specialises in motorsport stuff. They need to know what you will be revving it too and what particular use the car will have,eg,sprints, endurance etc.
You just don't go lopping loads off your flywheel for the sake of it,as it could end with a big bang.
I'm with Fred again on this and wouldn't bother.

I had mine done as the flywheel needed skimming when fitting a new clutch...

I took it to Prima Racing who lightened an balanced the clutch and flywheel assembly, top workman ship

It cost me £90 for lightening and balancing with the clutch assembly...

As Fred said it's already a 'light' flywheel, iirc mine had 1.2KG of material removed.
