Foam spray

  Clio 200
Hello, after a bit of advice. Where can I get a good cheap foam spray/gun for cleaning my car? Seen them in action and it seems much easier!

Cheap ways of doing it dont exist! Take it from the guy who has spent as much money trying to do it cheaply as it costs to buy the i4detailing foam lance!

I need a foam lance for my Pressure washer... Maybe worth while seeing if there would be enough people for a group buy from somewhere?

I wouldn't waste my money on these expensive foam lances tbh . If you already have a decent pressure washer do what i do . You get plenty of foam at alot higher pressure than these lances .
^^^ Do what i do mate . First wash off any loose dirt with the pressure washer hooked up to the garden hose .Then i run a 6 foot length of hose into a 25 litre home brew fermenting bin filled with a couple of capfulls of Extreme body wash and wax shampoo and warm water . Then foam the car with high pressure foam , leave to dwell for a few minutes then continue with the 2 bucket method .

^^ I use warm water and shampoo at high pressure , shifts the majority of the dirt before i attack it with the washmitt and 2 buckets . It depends how good your pressure washer is tbh . Karchers are designed to be used as pumps so they are good for sucking up water as in the method i use :)

The fault i find with those foam guns is they run out of shampoo too early , they are just too small . They do foam well though but obviously only at low pressure , i use mine from time to time with any shampoo and it always seems to produce decent amounts of foam . No need to spend loads on shampoo just for foaming imo .

Quick question:
As we're running the hose into the shampoo mix that means the water plus shampoo is going through the pump in the pressure washer doesn't it? Is that not bad for the pump?

None of the foam lances fit my pressure washer so if its not bad for the pump i'll be battering right into your method!
Cheers!

The amount of shampoo in the water is tiny , a couple of capfulls in 25 litres . You can actually use Karchers as pumps , for emptying things like fish ponds . As long as the pump is powerful enough inside the pressure washer you should have no problems using my method ;)

I didnt taken any pics of mine in use yesterday but I got massively thick foam with the I4d lance and SnowFoam
