Fog light symbol light up when braking

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Don't know why, but sometimes when i brake, the fog light symbol lights up when i put pressure on the brakes...

What can be the cause of this?

Probably one of your bulbs is out on the dash somewhere...

Had this happen on my Mrs' megane.

bad ground connection somewere. had this on my old clio.

I fixed it by simply removing the rear lights and putting them back carefully ensuring that no cables were trapped etc. whether it will be this simple for you, i dont know. I was lucky and it was a nice simple fix.

Well it's only happened after i was re-fitting my headunit.... do u think I touched a cable that would've affected this?

more than likely then yeah, take your headunit out and try and put it back making sure the cables dont get trapped

Yea its not affecting any of the lights on exterior, and its too dark at the moment to do anything, i'll give it a try in the morning.

Gotta put up with it for 2 hrs later 2nite!

Its the grounding on the rear lights...been mentioned a few times. Get a small file and check the connections on both rear sets of lights for corrosion. tidy that up (some people have used WD-40...I haven't) and should work a treat!
