Fog lights / magical appearing relay

Chaps...

Since I bought my Trophy many months ago, my front fogs have never worked...(never taken the time to look why)

But tonight when fiddling around in the car, I found a black relay under the mat in the passenger footwell...but cannot find where it fits!?

I assume this is the reason my fogs don't work? I've looked in the fusebox in the engine-bay..and the one on the side of the glovebox...but no luck.

I actually have no idea where it goes...maybe it doesnt belong to the car?

But even so, why would my fog lights not be working?

the connector in the pass side wheel arch wasnt connected properly on mine. pulled them apart, cleaned an it sorted my fogs out straight away

If the front end has ever been off, the fogs may have been disconnected and not reconnected. Made that mistake when I took mine off.

The connectors for the fog lights are prone to corrosion where they join the loom in the left wheelarch. Mine dont work but I know the relay works as it makes a noise when you switch them on. Its a job I need to sort this next week or so.

can you give me a bit more info where this connector is as my fog lights dont work. its a ph1 but I'm assuming its the same.

Do I need to remove the wheel arch liner?

Robbo - The relay will be the reason your fogs don't work. If you get your head up under the dash in the passenger footwell you will see where it should live. They often vibrate loose.
