foot well lighting

hi all, i want to put l.e.d lights in the foot wells of my mk1 94 clio that will come on when i open the doors, does anybody know the easiest way to do this? do i have to connect to the door switch or is there an easier way,cause by looking at the door switch i cant see how to get the switch out?? any help would be great,many thanks

I've done this to my citroen c2 VTS, wire the wires to the interior light above your head.

Light up when open door and turn off when door is closed, cool little upgrade

thanks for the reply, i was thinking about doing that but wouldnt know how to run the cables down to the foot well without taking the widow trims or door trims off(if you know what i mean) lol

hi sorry for being a nag lol, but can i get from the dome light through the head lining to the rubbers in the door on my clio 94 mk1, the cars not here at the moment but i want to find out as im bored and waiting for my partner to come back for me to have a look at it.

Yeah wire will have to go through the A pillars then through the headlining, to the light.
