ford dealer= £37 tracking

just took my dads car into ford for a check found out it needs a new track rod end £17.72 (not bad) 1 hr labour £30 (bit much) then £37 for tracking(taking the the piss) i didnt check the paperwork till i got home.dont think its going to get done at ford.what do you think will kwikfit do it for less? i think last time i got tracking done it cost me about £4

jesus when i had my mini i had a few flying off curb accidents and i never paid more then about £10

paid £15 yesterday for my tracking, ring round, small tyre places usually give you good prices.

renault charge £30. My local foreign boys will do it for 15, but they don't know the difference between a scirroco or a polo - I had to look up the figure for my 3 series last time (and when checked by bimmer dealer, was found to be incorrect) ... Really don't think they'd have my car on their chart either!

Tracking can really cost you money in tyres - I favour getting it done properly these days

be careful there are some real rogues out there when it comes to wheel alignment - alot of kwik fits etc have old / poorly serviced alignment equipment. For the sake of safety/tyre wear and driving enjoyment it's best done by a specialist with quality recently calibrated equipment...... just my 2p worth!

kwik fit will do the tracking for £24.95 and if you go to one of the bigger kwik fits they will have the lazer set up but if u r anywhere near swindon i will do it for nowt at kwik fit
