Forum Newbie back in a Clio after 15 years

Car  Clio 1.8 16v
Hi, I'm Adam and I have recently acquired a 1995 Naples 1.8 16v.

This is actually my 5th Mk1 Clio (I'm a glutton for punishment apparently!) The last clio I owned was another valver back in 2011 and I've been Clio free ever since. Until now. My second ever car was a 1994 1.4rt, then I had a lovely 1995 Naples RSi, then I had my 1991 1.8 16v and I also had a 1996 Valver but that was only ever a donor I bought as it had an F7R which i put in my last valver. I was active on the old Clio16Valver forum back in the day, it's a shame that no longer exists as it was a wealth of knowledge!

This is the one I have now, no doubt it will be familiar to some as I think previous owners have been active with it, certainly on facebook.

I know a little about it's history, I know that it was a turbo for a period of its life. But I don't know much about it before 2015. So if anyone has any history on it feel free to share. I will be starting a project thread on it as it is in a sorry state and needs quite a lot of work. The plan for it was to just make it a reliable useable weekend car and not spend much time and money on it (I have another long term project so I wasn't after a big project), however with the MOT expiring this weekend I have found there is no way this thing is going to pass and I am going to have to put in a bit of work to get it road worthy.

Anyway, hi 👋

Welcome mate, nice car! Looking forward to the build thread on this!
