I will be honest and say I preferred PGR2 to Forza 1. Mainly because I play online and car setup options created an unlevel playing field where you have the sad no-life poindexters on one hand that spend hours setting up cars so casual players that have a life stand no chance in online races.

Where as with PGR2 I could have fun competitive races with people that didn't play every night and the best driver would win as opposed to the sad muppet that spends his life car tuning instead of going out! I got fed up because I wanted to play Forza with some of my nerdy work mates but that meant my brother that is married with a kid couldn't join in and I had to turn down the pub on a couple of nights to set my cars up.

But that aside the handling on Forza 1 was not at all realistic! I mean an arcade fest like PGR2 was closer to the handling of PC sims than Forza.

I hope they have sorted it. AFAIK my opinions are that of the majority as PGR2 did a lot better than Forza especially online.... I know there are always the big mouths that reckon they did this and that but Xbox Live stats proved that most gamers only ever got 10% or something into the game!

I loved Forza on Xbox, probably more so than GT4 on PS2. Both great games, but I just seemed to get hooked that bit more on Forza. I'll definitely be buying this game when it arrives, but will also buy GT5 or whatever the final name will be on PS3 eventually. Forza is class.

just had a look on play.com and it says 01/02/07. Hopefully it wont be put back till June.

GTA IV being released in october is bad. That will be quality when it comes out.

Never actually played Forza online but I loved the modding part. I don't go into rediculas levels of tuning like altering camberetc but just main stuff. I had a corrado on v nice wheels..on its ass and had a 500bhp (iirc) R32 turbo in it. Me and a m8 had loads of fun comparing turned cars like that to enzos etc

I think I'm looking forward to GTR more because it has Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and Silverstone and many other real race circuits available to race on

Rumour was that GTR was due to appear on the 360.

It is a proper sim though so if you don't want to spend hundreds of hours sat in your bedroom like a sad ******* tweaking rebound damping and camber settings you won't stand a chance when playing online.

Same problem with Forza; the sad geeks would spend 12 hours a day fine tuning their cars to each track and then a normal person with a job, missus and social life couldn't compete.

I remember someone on here agreeing with me about LFS. We both found that you had two packs of drivers in each race and that we were good enough to be at the front of the "casual pack" but no matter how hard we tried we couldn't keep up with the "geek pack" who had spent money on £200 wheels and pedals plus track IR units and £2500 PC's etc followed by thousands of hours day in day out tuning the car setups to microscopic perfection.

That for me was always the best bit about PGR - stock cars with showroom setups.

Yeah start with a level playing field, I pretty much stopped playing the original forza after about 3-4 races. Stupid Americans screaming in the ear piece, and saying limey b*****d alot gets to.

that was my problem with forza

i would spend maybe 20 mins setting the car up after adding a few hundred bhp just so it drove reasonably. thinking "yeah this car is awesome!" everything would be good

then i go on live and get blown away by someone and no matter how hard i drove it. i would be no where near them and not having the time to spare to set it up properly (camber/aero/dif settings) i would only win if they f**k up.

so frustating! ended up not bothering to go on live unless it was someone i knew
