Free Reg to Vin number service??

Does anybody know a website of any kind which would allow me to enter a vehicles registration and then tell me then Vin number?

there is but its not free,

several programs can do it, i run a few but they rnt something that joe public will be able to get thier hands on, other than hpi checking them all?

When i say unlikely it exists, I mean for 'Public' consumption.

I run one at work as well, but its a Trade system that has rather large cost implications
