Front camber problem

  Rally Cinquecento
After converting my mk1 1.9D into a 1.2 petrol, ive found that there is a lot of posative camber, and noticed the outside of the tyre is starting to wear, has this happend because the springs and dampers ar designed for a heavier engine and the lighter engine os makeing the car posative camber?
any surgestions on how to get rid of this?
lowering springs?

well i dont have them as they went to the scrap with the doner car (kicking myself now!) but is it because the diesel springs are stiffer or longer than the petrol ones that this has happend?
