Front Components & Tweeters

  Clio 197 R27 Albi
Right time has come to upgrade the front components in my 182. i know the correct sizes and power ext its the fitment which is a problem. I've done a quick search and it seems to be a worry for quite a few clio owners. Havent found the answer I want though.

I can work out how to fit the bottem speakers, but will I be able to fit the new tweeters in the dash? how easy is it to take the orignal ones out? any information on fitment would be appreciated. also any genral tips on fitment would be great. Thanks

have you thought about leaving your old tweeters in and putting some more tweeters in at the top of the pillar or something?

im sure someone will be able to help you out more

I fitted tweeters in my 182 with no problem. You twist the grills to get them off and you prise the old tweeters out.

The standard tweeters are a terrible. I took mine out by opening up the grill. Snipping the wires and prying them out with a screwdriver. I havent replaced them as they dont make alot of differance.

I would advice removing them but not adding new tweeters.

That's just typical chav rubbish.

Remove the top part of the dash and replace them.

Yes, the dash top isn't very hard to remove and then you can do a proper job and replace them with something decent.

There was a guide but the site has closed. I think there might be something in the member's section???

There really is no need to remove the dash. Way OTT. I've just fitted a set of rainbow components in my 182. The old tweeters prise off really easy. The new ones can just sit in their place in you can run new cable down the dash to a crossover.
