Front differential 182:

its in the gearbox
Means the wheels cna turn at different speeds so you don't go tearing tryes on the bedns when both wheels would want to go at the same speed,.
Its uses the gearbox oil
How come?

It all depends what you use the car for, ie track, dont think you will notice much of a difference. Drag racing, defintely yes. A cheap version would be to weld up the diff, but i think its only doable on rwd cars.

  EK9 + Mfactory gearing..
^i think it would be very useful on track, lovin the torque steer, let the missus have a go a while back she put her foot down in 3rd & had to pull over cos she couldnt hold the wheel

LSD's are good for track use aswell as 1/4mile, for the simple reason that they keep power going to both wheels. Can be good and bad on the roads, fun through the twisties but you need to adapt your driving style, and hitting bumps has been known to pull cars in towards kerbs etc.

You can weld up the diff on some RWD cars, but thats not like an LSD, its a locked differential, and is only really good if you're into drifting!
