Ex 182 owner
Quick question. Is there a correct or incorrect way of doing it? I stupidly paid no attention when removing and it's now on my list of possible issues to check as I have some unusual amount of strut air noise.
1. Should the cover be pushed down as far as possible over the strut and the shaft is then free to move thru it with the cover remaining in place on the strut.
or
2. Pushed up as far as possible with it staying in place on the shaft( strut moves up and down inside the cover).
any wear issues to look for?
