Front strut brace

Bought a Sparco brace, I have noticed the strut towers will need drilled to support the mounts. Has anyone done this? Is it risky? Any one got pics of the finished result? Any help would be greatly received, thanks.

It wont cause any problems mate - get them drilled

Does the 172 cup have a front brace as standard?

Just curious cos I know the standard 172 doesnt.

Nope no strut brace as standard on the 172 Cheap.

erm, best thing to do is weld it rather than bolt it (which is fine) , but obviously is a much bigger job.
