front wings on the rear

My dad mentioned that some rally drives used too put front wings on the rear too make it look wide arch, i can't find any info about how to do it apart from that the left front goes on the right back and the right front goes on the left back

On a MK1 Clio, anyone have any idea how to do it? :S
