Frost + Windscreens

  RS Meg 175
Might be a stupid question, most probably is, but.

Has anyone been getting frost on the INSIDE of their windscreens lately?
me and my mate have both had it the last few days and weve both got mk2ph1s what is it all about? and how can if be stopped?

Cheers
Matt.,

yeah i do.........but i have holes in the back, like where the rear seats and stuff used to go, you can see through where they were bolted to the floor.......i put it down to cold air getting in through this? dont know though

I've not had frost on the inside, but i have had super mist that took ages to shift even with the heaters on full blast.

Perhaps you have too much moisture inside your car. I'd suggest getting some of those silica packs and putting them in your car.

maybe i should find the bolts and put them back in lol, though im sure it did it before............matt is yours stripped or full interior?

yep as said if the car isnt fullt sealed then moisture will get in and you will get a lot of condensation which on mornings like this will more than likely frost over

i keep a few silica packs which i got out of traineer boxes in the glovebox and door comparments to help keep the moisture out

Happened to me tonight. I just put some fresh silica packs in 2 days ago too.

Guess it just happens when it gets cold enough. Unless clios are poorly sealed in general.

Could always do the TopGear sealing test?

Can't say mine ever got frost inside.

it happens quite bad in ktec's courtesy car. I left the windows slightly open at work for a few hours and it seems to have helped things.

Cleaning the windows thoroughly on the inside helps too.

My PH-1 did it all the time until I resealed and tightened the aerial!

The Cup doesn't seem to freeze inside at all though.

happened ot me this morning but i think it was more to do with my breath instantly condensing an freezing on the windscreen, bloody minus 6

put the aircon on with your heater -- sucks all the water from inside the car and dumps it on the ground.

Last thing you do before you turn your car off at night, hit the re-circ button to shut the flaps. Works for me.
