FRP doors fitted finally (well one anyway)

  Radical SR3
After posting on here for help with the hinges for these doors, I ended up just cutting off the old hinges...the mirror needs adjusting and the door is also hanging slightly low when open.

Total weight (bare door with just handle and lock against stock bare door with just handle and lock) 5.4kg vs 19.8kg

Looks good, how did you choose where to drill holes in hinges? Remove wings for access? What's the fit/quality like on the x-sport stuff?

take that as a yes lol

had arguments with my old man today over the puma's, he reckoned they only did a 1.4 and 1.7

I argued the toss that they did a 1.4, 1.6 and two 1.7's which were used in the FRP's (I was right ;) )

love those cars...

on topic: That is pretty immense weight saving :O

are you going to be painting the door or wrapping the car?

Thanks all, the new doors had the holes in already (m8 threaded). When you remove the stock hinges the inner skin has 2 holes in it, I just assumed they were the same position!

Finish wise theyre very good, fitment is perfect...oem quality but a fiddle to cut and prep. Im going to leave these in black gelcoat, I had to paint the frp boot lid as the gelcoat wasnt as smooth.

Interestingly sonny, like your kevlar jobbies both doors are a different model. You would think they would take moulds from the same model!
