Does anyone know or recommend companies to use for hosting files as a direct download source (no megashare etc) Im after about 600mb - 1gb space to host some mp3 files for a website im doing. Can anyon help??

they cost me about £8 thats 1gb space and 7168 MB of bandwidth.
although i can add and remove extra off each as and when i please.

people comment of how fast these people are too!!!

unlimited bandwidth is never unlimited. There will be a fair use policy within the agreement. If you are expecting major traffic then that kind of package isnt for you ;)
 
well i used to mirror some game demos n cs movies on mine, and i got loads of traffic but never got shut down :cool:

Why not as your title says, FTP.

Its free, easy and you wouldnt have to worry about your host wondering if you were pirating the music.

I personally use Bulletproof for a server and FlashFXP to download / upload to it.

I have used mtqth.co.uk for many sites in the past but have just recently, as in this morning, opened an account with dreamhost.com. 20Gb of webspace and 1Tb of bandwidth a month all for the massive sum of £5.50 a year lol...if your wanting this deal use the promo code of 777 on the Level 1 account type ;)

FTP wise you can't go wrong with SmartFTP.

Ok i managed to sort out the hosting :D Does anyone know any guides to use these programs tho as im having trouble using them. Im getting erros such as 'error no data'
