FU*K - £185 for an oil change!

just rung my two nearest dealers for first service (18K dCi). Camden Northampton & Aylesbury.

only oil and filter and a few checks - one wanted £199, other £185!

Ive got a load of Reno vouchers, so main dealer needed.

Any recommendations Bucks, Northants, Oxford, Herts, Beds, North London (ish)???

Thats about par for the course mate - mine was £170 - diesels are always a bit more.

Mine was £120 at Sutton Park Renault in Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham (might be a bit far for you though)

6k oil change in 182 (£79)
12k first servce in 182 (£170)

Have a drive up North Got mine for £99 bbok price.

I wouldnt pay that for the 18k they dont do much.

I though paying £220 for a 36k is steep.

my v6 12k service (first one) is £171. thats oil, filter and a pollen filter. i shall be checking that it is all changed.

is the pollen filter under the wipers?

think it is yes on the drivers side (UK) it is on the 182 anyway I believe

Just had my 36k service done TODAY for my cup.. 109 pound - bet reno try to rip you off for the price of a fuel filter but on the cup its INSIDE the petrol tank which only needs to be changed once every 90K!.. but you wouldnt be told that if you went to reno!

try Roger Dentons in Rusden, 20 miles from Northampton. Best renault mechanic Ive ever used. They do a proper job there.

Yep no need to change the filter.

black kro, cheers for PM.. the number for the garage is - 01462 486400 - B+G motors - only a small business but both Mick and chris know their stuff.. its about a mile off junction 8 or maybe 9 of the A1... hope this helps mate- i dont mind about not having a reno stamp and having a "B+G" one, would rather them do it than possible YTS youngsters pulling it apart at reno... It doesnt void warrenty either(Which was my main worry!)...

my brother buys all his Rens from there, i dont think you get to keep your warrenty though as theyre a ren specailist rather than a dealer.

also i think someone said Norwich are real cheap in their servicing costs. Id rather spend twenty quidd and drive there if my local place wouldnt match their price. Ill be phoning Wests in Bedford (Clapham) when i need a service

you would keep your warrenty fine if you tell the mecahnic you want to keep it.. in which case he will use reno parts only
