When some stupid bint smashed her door into the rear quarter of my valver (while I was sat in the car) she put a dent in the arch line, she denied it. I got the reg took it to the police & they did naff all !!
I filled out all of the forms etc & they sent back a letter a few weeks after saying, no further action.
Hmmm - it was them who said that she could be done for leaving the scene, or criminal damage !!!

your insurance company should contact the police and ask for details the police then pass on all the details for a fee.. often tho the insurance companies try and get you to obtain the details so they dont have to pay which is a bit naughty after all thats why you pay insurance so if you are involved in an accident etc they do all the work for you and you just sit back and relax..

I would ask Asda if they own the car park or if they have an agreement with the council. Most carparks are privately owned though so the police will probably do nothing..
It's a shame you weren't more demanding of her, making a real fuss and insisting on her details might stop her from doing it again.
I hate supermarket carparks, i park as far away from others as possible!

As I said SUPERMARKET CAR PARKS ARE PUBLIC HIGHWAYS!! Even if privately owned. Any place where the public has access general to is a public highway. There is even a stated case saying a farmers field, that didnt have a gate, was a public highway as the public had access to it if they wanted. Never let the fact its a private car park put you off reporting it!!! Rant over.

Sorry to here about this Mate, you should have insisted on exchanging documents. even though in a car park it's 50/50.
If she had refused you could have called the police, as it is on private land (ie Car park they couldn't do anything) but you can take her to civil court and get redress that way.
I had the same thing a few years ago. I exchanged documents there was a lot of humming and haaing so I contacted her insurance company and explained what happened, They told me to get my car fixed and they took the hit for it. Obviously would be charged back to the women who knocked off my front bumper, when she reinsured HA HA!!! That was a good result for me.
It only cost me the fuel to take the car to Banks and Derbyshire in Preston to have it fixed.
I got a lift home from a mate when I dropped it off. They did a really good repair job, Brand new bumper and paint job, plus they valeted the car which was a surprise.
