Noticed today that my fuel flap doesn't sit flush. Question is, should there be two rubber gromets or lugs that sit in the bit attached to the car? Wondered if mine had been pinched or fallen out? Anyone enlighten me? Would appreciate.
Yes there should be 2 rubber stops, these are not available on there own but as part of the fuel filler.
They will have fallen out with age or if they got knocked while cleaning/drying water out.
This bit can still be bought from Renault, i think i payed around the £10 mark.
You have to drill out the pop rivets, Renault don't do these anymore but they sell black self tappers, i just fitted new pop rivets and touched the heads in black once i was done.
If you give Adam @ Wolverhampton Renault a call he can supply this part.
