A month ago I went to start the car and it would only crank, the fuel line had come loose... Ordered and replaced with a genuine item.

Today on the motorway it deciding to spit it out again! Before I start tearing up the engine bay what could be the cause(s) of this? It happened just under 4K revs putting my foot down.

Pipercross Panel Filter

Could it be ecu/throttle body/fuel mix issue? Maybe fuel pump?

Any help appreciated, pic attached for context.

is the fitting on the rail worn?
I pulled off the pipe to check and it just fired fuel all over the car and me..... Pressure build up somewhere, it fired out from the fuel rail....

Bad pic but fired up the bonnet/windscreen

Fitting looks fine though haha

The car was on 30 mins ago, could still be pressure in the line?

Possibly not thinking straight after a good petrol dousing

Looking at my first image the pipe wasn't pushed on all the way. This doesn't explain it coming loose a month ago but could be why the new pipe popped off, placed some zip ties there just in case and see how things go.

Fingers crossed this turns into a 'panic' thread and the issue doesn't resurface 🤞
