Fuel Rail Guard Socket

  Clio 1.5dci
Hi,

I'm trying to tighten the loose fuel rail guard, but a deep 10mm socket doesn't seem to be catching on a bolt.

I can't see inside because of the angle, any advice?

Thanks, Dan

There's 3 holes in the front iirc, and the middle and right hand one have bolts, you need to go right down,

have you got a extender on the socket?

The socket I have is part of a pack called 'deep' sockets.

Are there more than one type of deep socket?

trying to attach the socket on it's own without the handle, it's not going into the hole all the way, trying to twist it around but not moving further in or latching onto the bolt.

Can't remember using a deep socket for mine, has been a while though. it's the two right hand holes mate.

Aha! I spent 30 minutes going through old threads and they all said 10mm.. except one

So I tried the 13mm deep socket as suggested! and bob's your uncle :) it's A O K

someone's changed those then. They should be 10mm hex as standard

I use a normal 10mm socket on a 3 inch extension. it doesn't have to be deep if you have an extension
