Fuel Return

  Fiesta ST-3
Could some one tell me where the fuel return is on the phase 1 172? Is it...

under the TB
or on the back next to the icv?

And if it is one of those, what is the other one?

I've not looked at an F4R fuel rail yet. But thats where you'll find it
Connected to the pressure regulator.

that's how the fuel regulator works. how else is it going to maintain a pressure in the rail? It opens at a certain pressure and lets fuel back down the return.

So it would be on the original fuel line? The reason i ask is because i have done a 172 conversion into my megane coupe. Now i have the 172 injectors and have pluged my fuel line into the injector rail. Just wasnt sure how it returned.

my 182 doesn't have a fuel regulator in the rail and thus no return (could be wrong i've only had a quick glance)... is the 172 the same?

very late ph1s (and it's a very rare thing) and all after that have no return line, and regulator in the tank. Most ph1s have the return on the regulator end of the fuel rail
