Full exhaust system on my.........

Well get mt mk2 phase 2 1.2 16v saturday although a very nice car it feels very sluggish in second and 3rd. it might just be that im used to my 205 1.4xs which has 90bhp and a close ratio gearbox.

what can i do to improve the air through put. what i had in mind was:

1.direct induction kit
2.sport manifold
3.full exhaust system with sports cat.

anyone have any idea what products are out there and what proven gains there has been in doing this?

its a late 53 plate made in early 2004 does this mean it has the 2nd Gen air intake like k-tec say???

Dont bother with a manifold, get sports cat made a huge difference to torque in mine. Also I put a viper and a nice custom stainless feed, and when i sold it and took it off the car felt slow as shite so must have made a big difference. Also if you've had a bigger back box its prob not helped matters, as it'll reduce the amount of torque it has. I put a stelath system on mine and it worked a treat :)

all my work was done by powerflow, get your viper from 2modified.com, cheapest i've found

If its a 53 plate should take the original airbox, think the new designonly came out on the 04 pates

it hasnt got anything apart from standard so just a sports cat and decent induction kit with a slightly bigger exhaust

1st of dont get an induction kit try and get an itg replacement foam panel filter and get a custom aur feed made up to go wither begind the grill or a hole in the bumper. For the exhuast I know powerflow do a sports cat cheaper then K-tec and should be able to do a cat back system at a price aswell. I wouldnt recomment much more then 2.5''/'' if your just after performance. As for a manifold you could try www.reichhard-motorsport.com . It all depends if you want to spend lots of money or not.

Edit: I don't think you can get a manfold for the 1.2 16v engine. Baffles me as they do them for the 1.2 8v tho :/

I spoke to lots of people about a new manifold and theres no point whatsoever, as they already have the optimum design of manifold. I had my induction kit behind the grille and the original poistion felt much better imo.
