Fuse - Where is the reverse light fuse

i cant find my haynes (blaming it on my mum tidying up)

anyone know where it is ?........

neither of my reverse lights work and ive tried changing the bulbs

Dont think there is a fuse for just the reversing lights, maybe the switch by the gearbox has gone.

its under the bonnet mate. top left fuse! 5 amp

can i get at it by removin the gear stick surround etc

It goes in the side of the gearbox just by the nearside driveshaft.

is it easy to replace ?

if i take it out, wil gear box oil come pourin out of the hole ?

easy to replace and gear oil will pour out of the hole.

the switch is a simple on/off contact switch.remove the connector and bridge the wires(only two wires) using a paper clip. Do your reverse lights come on?(ing on remember)

yeah in the haynes it sez you will need to drain you g/box oil before hand, dont bother if you change it quick you wont lose much fluid..it doesnt screw in that far either



its a little green thing behind the n/s driveshaft

well mines got the GTT gearbox so its in a different place apparently, anywayz on tuesday im takin the induction kit out and intercooler if i have to, fittin a new silicone hose in there.........so ill have a look then when theres more room

On the end of your gearbox there is a white or black metal cover which houses 5th gear. Underneath this housing screwed into the gearbox casing is the reverse switch. Its normally green or orange in colour.
