  Shit little Yaris...
I have an itch to sort the limo out this week/weekend and wanna know the best way to do it.

It's dull but in decent nick.

There are a few light surface scratches that ideally need something to blackened better polishing. But what is the best way to do this, and what way is polishing advised?

Also, heard Blackfire? Black Hole and Black Light. any preference?

Gally=useless!! ;)

Poorboys black hole to 'mask' defects and make it semi shiny or its just good old fashioned elbow grease (machine polishing ). Black fire is a brand and black light is a glaze. What products do you have?

Clean sheet mate. I was cleaning the Clio religiously once week when I had it... The ST220 has seen my bucket twice and the Bozni wash 3 times, in 16 months lol

So starting with an empty canvass.

Britemax blackmax is a cleanser and glaze with a very mild cut. Can be used by hand or machine and leaves a great finish.use that after some proper decontamination and top with your preferred wax or sealant.

Put it this way, would you rather light a fire and hold your bread over to make toast....

Or use a toaster....?

Its an art worth learning, takes time and patience but you can't plush a car without one! You don't have to go mad on price, but the cyc rotary ( ep801)http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polis...r-ep801-compact-rotary-polisher/prod_854.html

On the performance blue i would practise with this pad. Gives good correction and isn't mega aggressive

With this polish. (Scholl s17)

Sure does... OK, so - I order these... do I then move onto Black Hole? Black light? Back to Black by Amy Whinehouse? lol.

What's the next step.

Okay, step away from the order basket.

It really depends how much time you get. For some people Auto Finesse Tripple followed by an LSP will blow them away, just like Srp did years ago.

I recommend tripple over any glaze mentioned because these glazes by hand aren't going to bite into the paint enough, dragging dirt et al out.

Even if your aren't claying you need to de-tar the car before any polishing mate.

Simple combo that will impress and give a quick turnaround that will last? Tripple and Gtechniq C2V3.

Blows other quick sealants out the water and works over any product.

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! lmao

Well, I'm working on the fact the stuff I can buy will do hers and mine. The ST220 has 100% been a motorway muncher and the front is peppered like a frigger. Technically, I should have the bonnet, front bumper and rear bumper resprayed - as well as the sills before anything really. I spoilt myself with the Clio and when I bought a £3k Mondeo - I only see it as a shed!

Happy to clay both, I have no clue what you mean though by LSP or SRP. I see them on forums and alike but not a clue what it means lol. So - bearing in mind I have washing items sat aside ready to roll, and I have plenty of time to throw at each car - what would your basket be to do it each month - with a wash a fortnight or if grubby?

I have used Gtechniq stuff before, and it was awesome on the Clio - but this Mondeo isn't in the same league. 8 years old, I guess it wasn't going to be though.

Lols. Buy some tripple and C2v3 and some cloths to apply and remove the GT stuff.

You can use a tri-foam (white/blue/black) GT app. White side. Or a white round Microfibre applicator.

Foam for polishing a bit but the MF app will pull more dirt. Either is fine, i'd go with the MF one.

OK then. So lets have a round up.

Nice new Polishing machine (EP801 as listed)
Some AF Tripple
Some GTechniq C2V3
Applicators (Microfibres)
Buffing towels (Microfibre)

You're buying a machine polisher? Do you need one?

Only £100, will be handy to have especially as I now and again buy cheap motors to punt on. This'll make them easier.

Like Gally said its up to you, you can get a nice result with what's listed however its obviously not the same as machining. If you do buy a polisher don't forget the pads, you won't need a backing plate as it comes with one (ep801)

Btw Kev I was joking ;)

Of course mate! I've been here long enough to get humour! ;)

The Ep801 is a great start machine feels like a DA in ease of use. If not the Das6 pro will do.
