Game - PS3 preorders now available

I got an email from Game yesterday saying there are now taking preorders for the playstation 3

Just thought I would let you guys know.

I am going to let my X-mas bonus pay for this I think so doesn't really matter what it cost

Depends how many ps3's game actually get I suppose. I know quite a few people that have been waiting for there game preorder to come through!

Yeah but Game have waited until they knew their stock allocation and will only accept pre-orders until they have run out so if you manage to get one ordered from there site you'll be guaranteed one.

Doesn't matter anyway, I've already got three under my bed

I'll get one eventually just can't be bothered with the price at the moment, too many games to play between my 360 and wii anyway. GT4:HD does look good though and so does motorstorm

ive got a ps2 with 17 games and dont know weather to sell on ebay and get a 360 or wait for ps3 and trade it in

Fall of man dont bother its dump, Motorstorm is awesome I play that loads. If you have a 360 get COD 3 on there. I cant see a visible difference

I was in a game store the other day and I swear you get £60 for the ps2. Not sure on the games, depends if there recent ones or old ones I guess.

I don't mind even if they give me £5 a game, I don't need them anymore.

It is an expensive console but the Xmas bonus is paying for it so why not I guess

I prefer the titles that are released for the ps3.

Not much of a difference between the consoles really. I just prefer thr ps3 and its controller!

Won't be much is it as said, the 360 has a better GPU in it but the Playstation has more raw processing power. Both consoles have 512mb of Ram but the 360s is a unified architecture and can be used by both the CPU and GPU. The PS3s is split down the middle so provides less fexibility for developers. The way I see it is that boths consoles have their strengths and therefore some games will be better/look better on one than the other, end of the day it all comes down to how talented the developers are and how much they can squeeze from each console.

Buy the one that has the most appealing games to you. For me I think the 360 will remain my favourite purely because of live and the controller, just seems like a better all round package than the PS3

Yeah it's the Grpahics chip basically... the CPU does all the caculations for the game(e.g collision detection and AI), the GPU does all the calculations to make it look pretty

i played motorstorm the other day and i must say its good but i hated the controller.

SInce moving to the 360 the controller is much better and the ps3 is nearly the same as the ps2 one to hold except its got no weight, it doen't feel like you are holding anything substantial, not a fan at the moment, sure i will get used to it though.

I pre-ordered mine instore and paid the £50 deposit so i am guranteed one! and 5th on the list! i work in Debenhams in chelmsford part-time, and we have a GAME upstairs, so i get my staff discount too! Might be trading in my PSP as well, so wont be as expensive!

At least they've added analogue triggers for racing games, the 'analogue' buttons ruined all the GT games for me on the PS2 and pushed me over to PGR2 on the Xbox

Turning on the motion sensing is pretty funny but totally pointless IMO
