Games with long campaigns.

I have an Xbox One, but have no real desire to play anything online, as most people are gimps.

I generally like games like COD (FPS), but their campaigns are quite short, so I'm looking for something more lenghty.

Recently picked up Balltefield 4 and Far Cry 4 quite cheaply as I've never played either (yet to be delivered).

Any recommendations for something that won't take 5 minutes to complete? I'm also fine with old games, as I haven't played much before. So am edging towards buying cheaper old ones, rather than a new one for £50.

FC4 has the shortest and most disappointing campaign in recent memory.

Witcher 3 had a great campaign, but isn't very FPS like.

Honestly, there really has not been many really good games for the latest generation of consoles, quite disappointing really. Witcher 3 and Bloodborne are the only games from the current gen that I really loved. Dark Souls 2, Last of Us and GTA5 all got nice make-overs, but they're not really current gen.

Short? Surely you must have either played it wrong or rushed through it.

Ahh I see. I quite enjoyed those parts of the game 😌
I platinum'd FC4. It's a good game, it's definitely worth anyones time. It just wasn't brilliant. I was really disappointed by the actual campaign, it's only got 35 missions.

The other thing for me was it was just a bit easy. When I play FPS type games I'm usually the stealthy sniper type, and on FC4 very early on you can get a very good sniper rifle which one-shot kills with headshots from any distance, which makes taking the outposts and absolute breeze, you just sniper down about 8 people and it's job done. Also, the four main boss outposts are no harder to take than the normal outposts which baffled me a bit. I thought when trying to take Pagan Min's fortress it'd be like a final epic mission, like a war, but it's was just a built up outpost with about 8-10 people in it that you gun down and then it's job done.

As above, just buy fallout 4, you can use it like one massive COD map and run around, jump off buildings, and 360-noscope Raider newbs all day.

Fallout 4
Destiny - the most FPS / CoD of the four, I'd say.
GTA V
The Witcher 3

The obvious one is GTA.

I also love the Tomb Raider games on XB1. They are fantastic.

Thats one of the few games I had on Xbox 360, that and COD was about it lol!

Tomb Raider is on my radar, but a little expensive at the moment as it's still quite new.

Dragon Age inquisition is good - if you like a long, single player games I'd be looking at RPGs rather than FPS like COD.
The campaign in BF4 is terrible, that is really only a game to play online...

Yeah who wants to f**king melee or bow and arrow their way through a game (Skyrim players hush)? Odd concept - looks more like a FC4 mod than genuinely new game

Fallout 4 is probably the best value for money as u can play it forever  plus Fallout 3 has been added to backwards compat so can be bought for pennies if u wanted to try that 2. My all time favourite games

Be warned though it will take all your free time

He's on Xbox, so FO3 is free.

I thought the new Far Cry looks pretty cool. I would rather it went into sillier territory though and had dinosaurs in. Or better yet, mechadinosaurs - Far Cry Blood Dragon showed that these guys can do crazy if they want to!

I don't know about forever, but there is a good 100 odd hours in it.
