Gaming seat setups?

Just wondering what people have bought or setup themselves?

I'm after something that I can bolt the Logitech G25 to - ideally - along with the pedals and optional gearstick that I have. I want it to be bolted to a seat and frame that I can easily (within reason) move out of the way. As much as I try to get over it, it bugs me having to attach the wheel to the PC desk, put the pedals on the floor, run the USB leads, etc - and then do the reverse once I'm done.

I've tried a cheap alternative, but that was of limited use. Again, I'm interested in the full seat solution that can be adjusted for someone shorter than I (6' 1") should they want a go.

Cheers,
D.

I have an Rseat RS1. It's proper.

It's also adjustable.

How much do they come in at? Does the wheel mount flex at all with steering inputs?

I presume that's pretty rigid and that you can't fold it away?

€599 IIRC. No flex at all, it's solid as a rock.

Not foldable, but generally the foldable ones are the ones that flex.

Good stuff - as above, does the wheel base flex much?
It's pretty sturdy tbh, probably not solid but by no means flimsy.
It was actually the pedals where I had an issue, braked hard and pushed the pedals out of the frame. Had to super glue and not had a problem since :D

I have a playseat challenge and really like it iirc I paid about £150 for it. Well worth it imo

No honestly. Have to stick a cushion or coat on there as my back hurts after a while.

Winning eases the pain.
I'm after that paradox - something sturdy yet can be folded up (to an extent) and moved out the way.

I really like racing games - have done for years. But I don't think I'd commit enough time/effort into them to justify a £500+ seat.

Still something to ponder though!

For £500 you could go on some actual track days, in real life!

I do both!

Obviously real life is better but you can't really sit down in the evening and decide that you want, by 5 minute's time, to be hammering down the Mulsanne, at night, in the wet, in a Mercedes CLK GTR.

I just stick the seat etc in the spare room when I'm not using it.
