hi anyone know of a good garage in around manchester where i can get my aux belt done?172 and what is a good price to pay.

I would highly recommend birchdown in cheshire. About a 40 minute drive from me in Manchester, well worth it.

thanks for the replys:cheers: got hold of birchdown in the end.

Can someone clarify that when I phoned them up, I explained that I needed a aux belt. He said that it's the cup setup....ie tension is on the alternator and for the belt supplied & fitted £24.52, sounds too cheap to me.

Is this right for the cup setup please note that the air conditioning has been removed and it has an arm on the alternator, apparently for tension.

172 cup is cheap to do £18 or so for the belt and 5min to fit

172/182 with aricon is around 2hours

Yeah that's right tommy. You will be happy with the work they do too, great place they have! Going back there in a few months to get my cambelt done after ive saved up a few pennys.
